“Consumers, customers, policymakers, industry workers, government officials, colleagues, investors, actors…are all terms that I hear in all of these discussions and I always ask myself – when did we stop being people?” – Climate CoLab attendee.
At our March 2024 Climate Co-Lab event, we zeroed in on the individual – or simply, people. Each of us has a critical role in the transition to net zero. But how do we encourage green choices at every level, from boardroom decision-making to our everyday household choices?
We are excited to share the insights and discussions from the event, including thought-provoking contributions from Ryan McLaughlin, Susie Lind, and Gemma Jones (she/her). Additionally, a round table discussion chaired by Susan Deacon CBE offered deep dives into these crucial topics. The event notes are now available online for you to read and reflect on. Together, we can drive meaningful change and inspire sustainable actions in every aspect of our lives.
Our next Co-Lab will explore the ways in which we need to nurture the technological ecosystem – from innovation to investment and enhancing market demand. If you are interested in getting involved or attending one of our Co-Lab events, please reach out to Hannah Brodie: Hannahs@scifest.co.uk for more information.
Our Climate Co-Lab series brings senior leaders and decision-makers together to tackle complex, climate-related problems. We take an interdisciplinary approach, breaking down silos and making Co-Labs a place to spark connection, unlock solutions and drive change. They are made possible due to the support of our Climate Funding Partners: Baillie Gifford, Edinburgh Airport. Hitachi Energy, Lumo, US Embassy London Vattenfall and Wood Mackenzie
