The Auditorium: A Space for Futures
In the Auditorium at the National Museum Scotland, students explored Life After Leaving School through dynamic sessions featuring STEM professionals, including a representative from BlueFloat Energy and Nadara Partnership. Their contribution ensured students had the opportunity to learn about renewable energy and innovation, giving pupils valuable insight into the skills and opportunities in fields like offshore wind energy.
Careers Hive wouldn’t be possible without our dedicated volunteers, who bring their expertise and enthusiasm to every activity.
Our Impact: Reaching New Heights
Careers Hive 2024 made a powerful impact, both onsite and online. Student feedback showed remarkable results:
- 92% of pupils agreed STEM offers many career options
- 62% of pupils felt inspired to learn more about STEM careers
- 86% of pupils said they now better understand the types of jobs in STEM
We are really interested in inspiring the younger generation into making careers choices, which will help us solve the climate emergency we are currently facing. To do that we need a have a strong workforce full of diverse people to help us work together to deliver these projects.

Thank You, BlueFloat Energy and Nadara Partnership
Nancy McLean from BlueFloat Energy and Nadara Partnership shared with us why they supported Careers Hive this year.
With the support of BlueFloat and Nadara partnership, the Auditorium became a platform for inspiring students to think boldly about their futures. Their generous sponsorship underscores the importance of collaboration in empowering the next generation of problem solvers and innovators and shows young people the exciting opportunities available, to make a positive impact on their world.
Together, we are showing young minds that the possibilities in STEM are as vast as their imaginations.
