Join Britain's first astronaut for a thought-provoking evening of stories from space!

In this special event join Helen Sharman, the first British astronaut, as she shares her unique, personal experiences from her historic 1991 mission aboard the Mir space station. Hear about some of her training, blasting off on a Soyuz rocket, what it’s like to live and work in space including conducting science experiments.

Following the global excitement surrounding Artemis II, and the beautiful new images of the Moon, Sharman will be conversation with former BBC presenter Dr Hermione Cockburn to consider how exploring space can help us to overcome some of the challenges we face on Earth, to improve medical treatment on Earth, and how human beings reflect on life.

How might we use space in the future? What are the ethics and geopolitical challenges facing us? From Tim Peake’s International Space Station mission to private space companies – what does the future hold?

The wonderful new insights and photographs from the most recent mission inspire awe and wonder in us all.
