Modern Alchemy is an exhibition highlighting the dialogue between Art and Science. Working in the laboratory, artist Susan Aldworth, explored the similarities and differences in processes between Chemistry and Art and was able to bring this experience into her printmaking. The exhibited prints are the result of a series of conversations about science with Dr Amanda Jarvis, touching fundamental chemistry knowledge and the sustainability of chemical production. The works invite you to look closely at the reactions, materials, and ideas that turn experiments into images, and to imagine chemistry as a creative practice with the power to build a greener future.
