A careers event with a difference

Careers Hive returns to the National Museum of Scotland from Monday 27 – Thursday 30 October, offering S1–3 students a new way to look at their futures by exploring different career pathways and roles across multiple sectors. Visitors have the chance to get hands-on with a range of science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM) activities and meet early career STEM professionals, who are on hand to answer questions and share their career experiences.

As S1–3 reach the point in their education where they choose their subjects, Careers Hive works to showcase that STEM skills are transferrable and further studying STEM subjects will help their future careers in a wide range of sectors.

During Careers Hive 2024, we welcomed 2,061 pupils and their teachers from 38 schools. The hands-on activities will be open to the public from 3.15pm–5pm.
